Contact to the Divine Presence Religions are different, but there is only one single God. God is like the water which fills the various vessels. In every vessel God assumes the shape of the vessel. Swami Vivekânanda To get in contact with the Divine Presence you need a personal relationship. Because the Divine is formless and not understandable in it´t origin, it is difficult to establish a relationship to this formlessness. But the Divine assumes every shape the seeker wants Him/Her to.
God is not busy with other things than to take care of us. And therefore he assumes the form we want Him to.  You can relate to Jesus, to Mother Mary, to Shiva or every other form. And you can equip this form with every attitude you feel comfortable with - if you want to feel comfortable with God. The quality of the contact depends on the seeker´s faith: if he has the imagination of a punishing, strict, jealous God, he will design God in this way. If he wants a loving God, he will experience Him like this. God is very generous. :-) If you ask God to do something (e.g. delete a charge): 1. Bond with God - talk to Him when you still do not ask Him something. Because if you need help for renovating your house you do not ask a stranger at the street to help you. First you have to establish a relationship - not so much because of God, but because of your trust that he will help you. 2. Visualize clearly and specifically, what you want to have. 3. Relate to God with a strong emotion of the heart. Every kind of emotion works. Without emotion it does not work. You can feel the Presence only with an open heart. But make sure, that the personality which is at the surface trusts in God. If not, send another one to "login". 4. Ask, pray - and then surrender. 5. Express your gratitude - do not wait until the request is answered. Thank at once.
